Difference Between Natural And Synthetic Fibres

Natural fibers are obtained from an animal, vegetable, or mineral source or from the bodies of plants or animals. Natural fibers can be used as a component of composite materials, where the orientation of fibers impacts the properties. while Synthetic fibers are man-made fibers, produced entirely from chemical substances. the basic Difference Between Natural And Synthetic Fibres is that natural fibers are found in nature e.g. wool, silk, and cotton, and comfortable in use. they are good absorbents and able to absorb heat, and cold depending on the conditions and nature of fibers. on the other hand, synthetic fibers are simply prepared in the laboratory (nylon, Teflon, etc.) and they do not have pores as they are made up of chemicals so they do not act as good absorbents.

The main sources of natural fibers are hair, feathers, and glandular excretions. Flax, cotton, hemp, wool, cashmere, and silk are the most common examples of natural fibers

Synthetic Fibres

The fibers that are created by humans in laboratories using chemically synthetic processes and are not derived from natural fibers are called synthetic fibers. These fibers are better than natural fibers that make synthetic fibers more durable, water and stain-resistant, and comfortable to wear.

They possess more strength and durability. The structure of synthetic fibers can be changed on demand. Polyester, acrylic, nylon, rayon. spandex and Kevlar are the most common synthetic fibers.
